Text-based explores dualities and the malleability of meaning or speaks to current issues and critiques of the art world. Featured artists include Nancy Gifford, Craig Randich, Gino Belassen with Augusta Smith, and Julie Sasse. Each artist featured in this exhibition is simultaneously a creative director, collector, curator, writer, designer, and/or fabricator. Multifaceted perspectives inform conceptual, text-based works, and poetic, direct, and/or subversive messaging affirms relatable narratives, sparks curiosity, and instigates conversation. The gallery context provides a platform for communication and connection as the viewer is gently provoked to question the existential and mundanity of the everyday.
